Mississippi Steamboat Robert E. Lee 1:163 Scale

This unassembled plastic model kit is 1:163 scale which makes it about 22" long whem assembled.

This magnificently scaled model includes two free turning paddle wheels and a steerable rudder. Also included are accurately scaled booms and gangplanks, wheelhouse, smokestacks, woodpiles, lifeboat and many more interesting detailed parts. A display stand, rigging thread plus a full color flag and pennant decal are also included.The kit is rated as Skill Level 2, the mid range in degree of difficulty. Glue and paint are not included.

The Robert E. Lee was employed in the cotton trade between New Orleans and Vicksburg. She was 300 feet long, had two engines with a 10 foot stroke, a 10 foot hold, cylinders with a 40 inch bore and side paddles 38 feet in diameter.
