D-Day Invasion L.C.V.P. 1:32 Scale

This unassembled plastic model kit is 1:32 scale which makes it about 12" long whem assembled. The kit includes 6 Army and Navy figures. It is rated as Skill Level 2, the mid range in degree of difficulty. Glue and paint are not included.

In the early morning hours of June 6, 1944, Operation Overlord had begun and the liberation of Europe was underway. Over 150,000 allied troops stormed Omaha Beach backed up by over 11,500 aircraft and nearly 7,000 Naval vessels.

One of the most important tools the allies had was the LCVP (Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel). The LCVP was designed to run through the surf to the beach, lower a ramp, unload men and cargo, back off through the breakers and return to the "mother" transport.
