Concord Stage Coach 1:16 Scale

This unassembled plastic model kit measures 2' 6" long and is 1:16 scale. It is Skill Level 2. Paint and glue are not included.

This faithful replication of an Old West stage coach includes four horses complete with harness, reins and hitch chains. The driver and shotgun rider are included along with three passengers and the bad guy, the hold-up man.

The model shown, built by Richard Melillo, includes several creative details not included in the kit. On the base, which he added, Richard spread actual mud, rocks and dirt. The arrow is a straight pin with paper "feathers". The "rope" tying on the luggage is twisted embroidery floss. He also added metal tape to the wheel edges.

To make the shotgun rider appear to be turning around, he manipulated body parts before gluing and painting.
